He said that Jakarta Water Conservancy Bureau deployed more than 1000 staff and 170 mobile pumps in the disaster area to dredge the river to drain the flood as soon as possible.

Jakarta has been affected by flood recently, which has aroused wide attention in Indonesia. It is pointed out that climate warming is one of the factors that cause serious flood disasters in Jakarta and its surrounding areas. Dwikorita kanawati, head of Indonesia's meteorological, climate and Geophysics agency, said last year's average temperature in Jakarta was 0.82 degrees Celsius higher than the average in the same area from 1981 to 2010. Kanawati said extreme weather will become more frequent in the future if effective measures are not taken immediately to reduce climate warming.

Doni monerdo, head of Indonesia's national disaster relief agency, believes that overexploitation of groundwater has led to the sinking and collapse of Jakarta's urban surface, making it difficult for floods to flow into the sea. In addition, the behavior of residents discarding garbage in urban rivers, which causes River silting and further worsens the situation, is also one of the reasons for the frequent occurrence of recent floods.

Nurhayati, a member of the house of representatives of Indonesia, proposed that in order to overcome frequent floods, Indonesia should expand its rivers to increase river capacity and flow, at the same time, create urban forests, build dams and reservoirs and other public protection facilities. Ban bang hidaya, head of the basin center of the zhirion and xisadana rivers in Indonesia, proposed the construction of a basin reservoir.
